ICAPP Delegations Visit Temples in Siem Reap and Preah Vihear Provinces (05/12/2010)

After participating in the International Conference of Asian Political Parties (ICAPP), which was successfully held in Phnom Penh from 01 to 03 December 2010, the ICAPP delegates accompanied by H.E. Dr. Sok An, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister in Charge of the Office of the Council of Ministers, visited the well-known World Heritage temples in Siem Reap and Preah Vihear Provinces. The senior delegates, including heads of states, former heads of states, heads of governments, former heads of governments and representatives of 100 political parties from more than 40 countries, were warmly welcomed by governors, officials and concerned authorities of the two provinces.

 H.E. Mr. José de Venecia, co-chairman of ICAPP, and delegates greatly applauded the brilliant leadership of Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, which adheres to peaceful means to transform the war-torn zones to peaceful and development areas. H.E. Mr. José de Venecia extended his great appreciation to the wise leadership of Samdech for the win-win policy and leading the country towards prosperity and development. Also, Samdech is one of the top leaders who is intelligent and politically matured and patient to peacefully solve the border issues with neighboring countries until the success was achieved. These should be the models for other countries, with similar situation, to be applied to finding peace for their own people.

Samdech Techo, the head of the Royal Government, took great care of the senior delegates, who took a trip to visit the Temple of Preah Vihear, through the contact of Video Conference to ask about their situation, and Samdech affirmed the delegates that the Temple of Preah Vihear area was a place where the war was just ended through the win-win policy of the Royal Government of Cambodia.
